Dovanson began his career with AIA in November 2011, as an undergraduate consultant while studying in Nanyang Technological University. He was first introduced to this career by a family friend, Winnie Cheah, a Senior Financial Services Director of Win Advisors. Initially, the decision to join the insurance industry was seen as a means of getting extra allowance during his undergraduate days. However, over the years, he has developed a sense of belonging to Win Advisors and a burning passion for the career. Upon graduation in 2014, Dovanson was offered a job opportunity in Australia, to join his father in a Japanese engineering MNC. After careful consideration, he chose to remain committed to this career as a full-time Financial Services Consultant in AIA. The motivation that drove him to make this decision came from the support and trust that his family and friends have given him, even when he was only an undergraduate consultant.
As a young consultant, Dovanson has witnessed first-hand, on two occasions, the sufferings that a family would go through without adequate financial planning. More often than not, this realization comes too late for many, and the price to pay becomes significantly too high to bear. Dovanson has hence made this his motivation in this career, to educate as many people as possible, especially the youths, on the importance of having sound and proper financial planning.
